The Alcott is built to be that pair: genuine cow leather in a soft matte finish, cut low over a cream cupsole that keeps it casual without tipping into trainer territory. A moc-toe seam runs across the front and the stitching is left visible along the sole, so there's something to look at on a plain shoe. Underneath, a bonded leather footbed and a hard-wearing rubber outsole handle the walking and standing that make up most of a day.
