A boot should look like it has been somewhere. The Kellan is cut from cow suede with a soft, dry hand that takes on marks and scuffs as character rather than damage, over a hand-stitched moccasin seam that runs the length of the toe. Where most boots put a stiff leather collar around the ankle, this one uses a ribbed knit panel. Cotton lining and a footbed keep the inside soft against the foot, and a flat rubber outsole holds its grip on wet ground without lifting you off it.
